2008-'09 CVSA Cup
- Preliminary Round - September / October, 2008
All non-Coed divisions may opt out of CVSA Cup competition. In the Preliminary Round, enough teams will be drawn to reduce the field of teams to 64. All teams choosing to participate from the six Premier Division, ten First Division, ten Second Division, ten Third Division, ten Fourth Division, ten Fifth Division, ten Sixth Division, six Masters Division, ten Veterans Division & six Women's Division teams are eligible to be drawn for a Preliminary Round match. The teams will be randomly drawn against each other. Any games tied at the end of regulation will progress to two 15 minute Golden Goal Overtimes followed by kicks from the penalty spot to determine a winner. Losers are eliminated from cup play for 2008-'09; any team forfeiting will be subject to outlined penalties for forfeiture. The survivors will advance.

Random draw amongst the CVSA Cup Preliminary Round survivors and the participating teams which were not drawn into the Preliminary Round. No teams will be awarded byes, unless the pool of teams is odd, in which case, one team will receive a bye. Teams receiving byes in earlier rounds cannot receive byes in this round. Any games tied at the end of regulation will progress to two 15 minute Golden Goal Overtimes followed by kicks from the penalty spot to determine a winner. Losers are eliminated from cup play for 2008-'09; any team forfeiting will be subject to outlined penalties for forfeiture. The survivors will advance.

Any games tied at the end of regulation will progress to two 15 minute Golden Goal Overtimes followed by kicks from the penalty spot to determine a winner. The sixteen CVSA Cup Second Round losers will be relegated to the Copa Bruce; any team forfeiting will be ineligible for the Copa Bruce. The sixteen survivors will advance.

Random draw amongst the sixteen CVSA Cup Second Round losers. Any team forfeiting their CVSA Cup Second Round game is ineligible for the Copa Bruce. Should less than 16 teams be involved in the 1st Round of the Copa Bruce at the time of the Copa Bruce 1st Round drawing (either due to forfeiture, withdrawal or disbandment), a special random draw will be held from the losers of the prior rounds of CVSA Cup matches to bring the number of Copa Bruce entrants back up to 16 teams. Any team forfeiting any of their CVSA Cup matches is ineligible for the special drawing. Any games tied at the end of regulation will progress to two 15 minute Golden Goal Overtimes followed by kicks from the penalty spot to determine a winner. Losers are eliminated from cup play for 2008-'09. The eight winners will advance to the Copa Bruce Quarterfinals.
