JUST SAY NO to House Bill 1368! UPDATE - 1/30/06
House Bill 1368 has been removed from legislation by it's sponsor. It never made it past the "Committee" phase. Thank you to everyone who did their part to defeat this bill. What is HB1368?
The full text of HB1368 is available at http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?061+ful+HB1368. The bill is currently in the House Committee for Courts of Justice.
Clearly, homeowners should have a reasonable expectation of "serenity and tranquility," but HB1368 goes far beyond any reasonable expectation. - Contact your delegate and let him or her know that you strongly oppose HB1368. Provide a supporting argument, such as the one above. If you don't know who your delegate is, you can find out at http://conview.state.va.us/whosmy.nsf/main?openform. The two Richmond-area delegates on the Committee for Courts of Justice are Bill Janis and Katherine Waddell; if you are represented by either, it is especially important that you voice your opposition so HB1368 can be killed in committee.
